alcohol and comics...

I drank a lot over the last two days, so I haven't read all of my comics yet. I can't tell you how hard it is to read when you have a hangover. What I can tell you is Thor kicks some major ass.
In case you're not reading it, Thor is back, and in this issue so is Heimdall. That plus the fight between Thor and Iron Man makes this a must read. I have to say this is probably the best comic Strazynski has ever wrote.
I also read New Avengers/Transformers, which I almost wish I hadn't. This is a series that just needed a little bit more thought put into it than it does. Tyler Kirkham is an alright artist, but he needs a writer that knows what they're doing.
On the Ultimate side of things, X-Men is getting better and better. I love what Robert Kirkman is doing with this series. I can't wait until issue 100. Beast is back, Stryfe is leading protests and then leaving before the Sentinels show up, and Psylocke is Bishops wife!?!
Ultimate Power was a solid read as well, but I can't figure out where it falls continuity wise. Dr. Doom is in it, and he is supposed to be in the Zombie Universe. And Cyclops is part of the X-Men but he decommissioned the team. Hopefully all will be explained in the end.
If you don't already know they are a lot of good blogs from some of comics coolest creators. Her are a few of my favorites.
Cory Walker
Nate Bellegarde

Jim Lee and Wildstorm
Alright peace out everyone. I'll be back later with more useless comics and stuff.

Big week for comics!

This was a big week for comics. I haven't read everything yet, but so far I enjoyed new issues of New Avengers and Fear Agent.
At the end of New Avengers the team goes to Stark Tower to tell them about the Hood, and come across an army of symbiotes. It almost seemed like an INVASION. It made me think maybe this is all part of the Skrulls plan. Maybe the symbiotes are a virus created by the Skrulls, and the invasion is bigger than we think.
Fear Agent was great! I am loving this series more and more, or should I say Moore and Moore. Tony Moore's art is crazy good. He really amazes me with every issue.
I saw two movies this past week, Shoot 'Em Up and 3:10 to Yuma. Shoot 'Em Up was what Crank wanted to be but failed miserably. Shoot 'Em Up has the advantage though, seeing how it had people who could actaully act in it. 3:10 to Yuma was a great movie with a lot to teach about right and wrong. The ending was very surprising.
Well, hopefully I am going to start writing an outline and script for my new comic idea. Maybe if I get organized enough when I talk to an artist they might actually be interested in what I have to say.
